Vinpearl phu quoc golf club is a 27-hole golf course built on the island of Phu Quoc pearls. Golf club is surrounded by stunning landscapes with mix of forest, causing anyone to charm. A perfect golf paradise for golfers.
On the evening of Wednesday, 16 September we made our way from HCMC to the island paradise of Phu Quoc. We were all looking forward to this stop as it would be the first time to Phu Quoc for several of us. The weather wasn’t cooperative, as heavy rains and strong winds made for a very turbulent flight.
Arriving at Phu Quoc’s Duong Dong Airport, we were greeted by Vinpearl staff and escorted to their shuttle for a 20-30 minute drive to the resort. The resort is the largest on the island, and is an impressive, lavish site that would be our refuge for a couple days.

Following Vinpearl Nha Trang, Vinpearl Phu Quoc is the second island resort in Vietnam with a golf course. Designed by the world’s leading golf course consulting firm, IMG, Vinpearl Golf Club Phu Quoc features 27 holes over 100 hectares and takes full advantage of the beautiful terrain and breathtaking views.
Waking early in the day, we were very pleased to find a break in the weather allowing us to get on the course. A caddy is required, which I put to good use. My caddy, Vy, had been with the club since they opened and was able to assist with reading putts, advising on club selection and in finding some of my wayward golf balls.

Though we had planned to play 18 of the course’s 27 holes, our golf was cut short by another heavy rain as we finished our 11th. Due to the heavy rain, some of the courses were a bit soggy, and would have benefitted from additional drainage. Of the holes we did play, I found the course to be a challenge as we weaved our way through a mix of water hazards and heavily wooded areas.
